From Data to Decisions: Power BI with CELUS Data Hub - 2 parts webinar

This two-part webinar series is designed for libraries that want to move beyond standard reports and start working directly with their usage data in Power BI.Together with CELUS experts and guest librarians, we’ll show you how to connect to CELUS Data Hub and build practical, decision-ready reports — from basic visualizations to advanced analytical models.

Whether you're just starting with Power BI or already building dashboards, this series will help you turn raw usage statistics into actionable insights.

Part 1 – BASIC (17 March 2026)

4 PM CET/ 11 AM EDT

Your First Power BI Report with CELUS Data Hub

You don’t need to be a data scientist to build useful reports. In this beginner-friendly session, Kamila Kosatova and a guest librarian will walk you through how they connect Power BI to CELUS Data Hub and build practical usage dashboards from scratch.

You’ll see:

- How to connect to CELUS Data Hub

- What the data structure looks like (in plain language)

- How to create your first visualizations

- How to build simple but powerful usage overviews

- How librarians turn COUNTER data into something stakeholders understand

This is not a technical deep dive. It’s a practical “this is how we actually do it” session — designed for librarians who are curious about Power BI but haven’t fully jumped in yet. Bring your curiosity. We’ll handle the rest.

Part 2 – ADVANCED (24 March 2026) with Will Peaden (Coventry University)

4 PM CET/ 11 AM EDT

Power BI for Power Users: Advanced Library Analytics with CELUS Data Hub

Already built a dashboard or two? Let’s go further. In this advanced session, Kamila Kosatova and Will Peaden from Coventry University will show how they:

- Create custom measures and KPIs

- Work with relationships and data models

- Handle COUNTER 5 and 5.1 continuity

- Combine usage data with cost data

- Build interactive dashboards for directors and faculty

- Design reports that actually drive decisions

This session is for librarians who want more control, more flexibility, and more analytical depth.
