While CELUS supports automated SUSHI harvesting for COUNTER-compliant reports, there are cases where uploading reports manually becomes necessary. Below are the most common scenarios:
Some publishers offer COUNTER-format reports but lack SUSHI functionality. Please note that this means the publisher is not COUNTER-compliant, as SUSHI is a mandatory component of compliance.
In cases where historical data is no longer available through SUSHI (e.g., due to retention policies or publisher updates), you can upload these reports manually to preserve the data.
Some publishers only supply subview reports (e.g., DR_D1, TR_J1, PR_P1) either through SUSHI or manual download. These are filtered versions of master reports and do not comply with the COUNTER Code of Practice.
Manual uploads should be a last resort to avoid messy or inconsistent data. If you’re unsure whether manual uploads are necessary or have questions about handling non-compliant data, feel free to contact our support team for guidance.
